I Can’t Even Advise People Who Are Going Through Economic Hardship- Davido

According to a report by Daily Post on Monday, November 2, 2026, Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has called for significant changes in Nigeria, blaming poor governance for the economic hardship experienced by citizens.

The award-winning musician acknowledged that when a government fails to deliver effective leadership, ordinary people are likely to suffer the consequences through difficult economic conditions.

Davido also said he could not comfortably advise Nigerians struggling with economic hardship because he was not experiencing the same challenges they were facing.

Although he admitted having personal struggles, the singer noted that his circumstances were different from those of many Nigerians battling the rising cost of living and other economic difficulties.

He stressed that addressing the country’s problems would require collective efforts from both political leaders and ordinary citizens.

According to him, Nigeria needs a complete change in attitude and leadership to overcome its challenges and improve the living conditions of its people.

Davido said: “Once the government is bad, there would be hardship. I can’t even advise people who are going through economic hardship because I am not going through what they are going through, even though I have my own struggles, too. What I can say is, Nigeria, fix up. The country has to change from politicians to citizens, everything.”
