Ned Nwoko Appeals to Bloggers, Fans to Give Regina Daniels Space

The lawmaker made the appeal in a statement posted on his social media page on Monday, expressing concern over the actress’ welfare and the spread of what he described as misleading information about her health and private life.

Nwoko said Daniels needed time and a supportive environment to overcome the difficulties she had been experiencing. He also noted that their two children deserved to see their mother receive encouragement rather than face further public criticism.

He urged members of the public to exercise restraint and allow the actress to deal with her personal challenges away from unnecessary attention.

According to the senator, his concern for Daniels’ welfare remains despite the disagreements that have characterised their relationship.

He explained that some of the issues surrounding their marriage became public because of his concerns about her well-being.

Nwoko also expressed displeasure over reports circulating online, particularly fabricated announcements claiming that the actress had died, as well as unverified stories concerning her health.

He warned that such publications could cause emotional distress and should not be treated as ordinary social media content.

The Delta North senator further disclosed that he would take legal steps against individuals and platforms responsible for deliberately publishing false information about Daniels.

He said evidence of the publications was being gathered and that those involved would be pursued through the appropriate legal process.

The latest statement comes against the backdrop of the couple’s marital disagreement, which became a subject of widespread public discussion in October 2025.

Nwoko and Daniels got married in 2019 and have two sons together. Their relationship later came under intense public scrutiny after allegations and counter-allegations emerged on social media.

Daniels previously accused the lawmaker of abusive and controlling conduct, claims he rejected.

Nwoko, on his part, linked their marital problems to alleged substance abuse by the actress. Daniels also disputed the allegation.

The actress had earlier spoken about her health difficulties in a birthday video shared on October 10, 2026.

In the video, she disclosed that she had experienced severe physical pain and difficulty walking after a health problem that initially appeared minor. She also spoke about her gradual improvement and explained her reduced presence on social media.

Nwoko referenced the video in his latest statement, suggesting that it offered the public an indication of the challenges Daniels had been facing.

He subsequently appealed to the public to avoid spreading unverified stories or making comments that could worsen the situation as she continues her recovery.
