I Am Confident Of Securing A Victory In The 2028 General Election – Roman Fada

Roman Fada, who previously served as the running mate to the late Akua Donkor under the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has declared his intention to contest Ghana’s 2028 presidential election.

According to a report by The1957News published on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Fada expressed confidence in his chances of becoming Ghana’s next President, describing his anticipated journey to the Jubilee House as a simple one.

His announcement comes after his involvement in the political activities of the Ghana Freedom Party, founded by the late Akua Donkor, who participated in Ghana’s presidential elections and became known for her outspoken political views.

Fada previously served as her running mate on the party’s presidential ticket. He now appears ready to pursue his own presidential ambition by seeking the country’s highest political office in the 2028 general election.

His confident declaration has introduced another name into discussions surrounding prospective contenders for Ghana’s next presidential race.

However, Fada has yet to provide detailed information about his proposed campaign, including his policy priorities, political platform, party arrangements and strategies for attracting support from voters across the country.

The presidential election is expected to generate significant political activity as parties and individuals begin preparing for the contest. For Fada, translating his announcement into a competitive campaign would require clear policy proposals, an organised political structure and support from different parts of Ghana.

For now, his declaration establishes his publicly stated intention to seek the presidency in 2028. His subsequent political activities are expected to provide further insight into how he plans to pursue the ambition and secure support for his proposed journey to the Jubilee House.
