“Every Venue Will Sell Out” – Davido Reveals He Would Charge $500K Per Show If He Tours With Wizkid

Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that he would charge $500,000 per show if he embarks on a joint tour with fellow Nigerian singer Wizkid, expressing confidence that the proposed tour would sell out venues worldwide.

Davido made this known during an appearance on the IONWANNATALK show, where he discussed the possibility of recording music and embarking on a joint tour with Wizkid.

The singer, however, expressed uncertainty about whether a collaborative song between them would become a hit, referencing the collaboration between D’banj and 2Baba.

“If Wizkid and I do a song together, I don’t know if it will pop because when D’banj and 2Baba did a record together, it didn’t really pop.

If we tour together, I’ll ask for $500,000 per show because I know every venue will sell out.”

Davido also disclosed that he and Wizkid had not recorded a song together in about 10 years, explaining that their inability to collaborate was not because they could not work together.

According to him, they had simply not been in the same mental space, while acknowledging differing opinions about whether their rivalry had contributed to their individual success.

He further spoke about maturity in resolving disagreements, noting that it takes a great person to acknowledge when their feelings towards another individual have changed.

“I felt that way at some point but not anymore, and it takes a great man to do that,” he said.

“Wizkid and I have never been in the studio together to make a song and even if we do, it might be overhyped like people say.
