Funke Akindele Moves Young Entrepreneur To Tears With Earring Gesture

A young Nigerian entrepreneur was overwhelmed with emotion after Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele accepted a pair of handmade earrings she gifted her and wore them at an event in Lagos.

The moment happened at the fourth edition of the FinTribe Finance Fair, held at the Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island.

A video from the event, which has since gained attention on social media, showed the entrepreneur approaching Akindele, who was seated on stage, to present her with the earrings made from locally sourced materials.

To her surprise, Funke Akindele accepted the gift, took off the earrings she had on and immediately replaced them with the handmade pair.

The gesture left the young businesswoman in tears as Akindele went on to embrace her and introduce her brand to the audience, encouraging those present to support her business.

The event, themed “I Can!”, brought together women entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders to discuss financial empowerment, wealth creation and business development.

The video has since attracted positive reactions online, with many social media users praising Akindele for using her platform to support and encourage a small business owner.
