Happening Now as Gachagua’s Motorcade Storms Kikuyu Constituency to ‘Wantam’ Chants, Allies Present

Political excitement has reached fever pitch across Kiambu County as Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua and his key political allies take their high-octane campaigns directly to the streets of Kikuyu Constituency.

The charged procession has generated electric energy in the area following the conclusion of a morning church service.

According to live video feeds published on Rigathi Gachagua’s official X account, massive crowds have lined up along the roadsides to welcome the political delegation as the convoy has navigated through local centers.

Supporters wearing green branded caps and waving placards have erupted into rhythmic chants of “Wantam,” echoing the opposition’s signature rallying cry calling for a single-term administration ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Gachagua, flanked by an array of opposition-leaning lawmakers and regional politicians including Methu, Karungo has addressed enthusiastic residents from the roof of his vehicle, thanking them for the warm reception.

The tour has marked a crucial phase in Gachagua’s strategy to solidify opposition unity across the vote-rich Mount Kenya region.

Having completed his worship at PCEA Kamangu, the former Deputy President has immediately transitioned into full political mode, using the platform to galvanize public support against the current regime.

His decision to stage a major show of political force in Kikuyu, the political stronghold of National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, has signaled a clear intent to challenge rival dominance in the county.

Local security teams have maintained a watchful eye as the motorcade has slowly made its way toward scheduled stopovers in Kamangu Shopping Centre, Kerwa, and Zambezi Town.

Despite the intense political atmosphere, the crowds have remained orderly, cheering loudly as Gachagua and his allies have continued to deliver impassioned speeches on economic empowerment, regional solidarity, and political resilience.

As the afternoon rallies gather further momentum, the event has firmly established Gachagua’s growing momentum within the region’s political landscape.
