Ulinzi whip Police Bullets to take women premier league lead

FKF Women Cup champions Ulinzi Starlets defeated holders Kenya Police Bullets to take the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) lead.

Shaline Nambengele scored the solitary goal when Ulinzi beat Bullets 1-0 to take to the pole of the table with 18 points, three less than Bullets with 15 after both teams playing six matches.

Both teams had not recorded any loss before today’s encounter.

Before the match, both teams were enjoying top of the table battle with Police having better goal difference but the loss handed champions second position behind Ulinzi.

Kibera Soccer Women that lies third with 12 points may relegate Bullets to third if they beat Kayole Starlets tomorrow in the only Sunday match.

But Kibera will need to score 13 goals to edge Ulinzi since they have a +1 goal difference against Bullets +13.
