Alongside the rebranding, Sifuna will use the occasion to unveil the party's officials and secretariat, and to formally open the movement's headquarters.

Among the most senior figures expected to attend are former Deputy President and DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua and Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) leader Kalonzo Musyoka, both of whom have officially confirmed their attendance ahead of the event.

Their seats are reserved at the front of the venue as a mark of their prominence at the occasion. DPAP-K's Eugene Wamalwa is also expected to attend, alongside Winnie Odinga and nominated Senator Crystal Asige.

The venue is dressed in white and blue, colours that appear set to define the movement's visual identity going forward.

Sifuna had already arrived at the venue ahead of other leaders and was on hand to receive guests as they arrived.

Ahead of the launch, Linda Mwananchi Movement's head of public communications, Pauline Njoroge, set the tone for the occasion with a statement outlining the party's ambitions.

She also invoked a biblical passage, referencing Joshua 1:8 to frame Sifuna's leadership philosophy: "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night."

The launch positions Sifuna, who has been one of the most vocal critics of President William Ruto's administration, as a central figure in Kenya's growing opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 General Election.
