Heavy Police Deployment Announced Along Uhuru Park-Jacaranda Route Ahead of ODM Rally

Nairobi security agencies have been placed on high alert as security forces deploy heavily along the busy Uhuru Park to Jacaranda Grounds corridor ahead of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) political mega-rally.

Nairobi Regional Police Commander Issa Mohamud issued a stern warning against any attempts to cause disruption, making it clear that law enforcement will act decisively to maintain public order.

Security officers have taken strategic positions along key transit routes to direct traffic flow, protect local businesses, and manage crowd movements as thousands of supporters converge on the capital.

​The massive police deployment comes following formal notification from ODM organizers, who slated the major political gathering at Embakasi East’s iconic Jacaranda Grounds.

Commander Mohamud emphasized that while citizens have the constitutional right to peaceful assembly, lawlessness or political intimidation will not be tolerated.

He urged event organizers, party leaders, and rally attendees to cooperate fully with deployed police officers, follow security guidelines, and report any suspicious activities along the venue perimeter.
