Jubilee Party in Mourning After Politician Dies

This is the secomd time in as many weeks that the Jubilee Party has been thrown into morning.

Jubilee Party has announced the passing on of Nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA),for Taita Taveta County, Margaret Kawuki

In a statement issued on Thursday, October 29, Jubilee Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta offered condolences yo the family of the late Kawuki.

Ole Kenta eulogised the departed Nominated MCA as a dedicated member of the former ruling party, and a committed oublic servant.

“It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that I, on behalf of the Jubilee Party, convey our heartfelt condolences following the untimely passing of our nominated Member of the County Assembly of Taita Taveta County, Hon. Margaret Kawuki.

“She was a committed public servant, a champion of democracy, equality and the rights of women, and a courageous voice for those who often go unheard. She carried herself with conviction, dignity and compassion, and remained a voice of reason even in difficult moments,” Ole Kenta wrote.

The SG said that Kawuki represented her constituents’ aspirations with dedication and purpose and honoures her commitment to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those she served.

“Her passing is therefore not only a deeply personal loss to her family, friends and loved ones, but also a loss to the people of Taita Taveta County, the Jubilee fraternity and the wider democratic movement in our country,” the statement read.

He adeee that the deceased left a legacy of service, courage, equality and an unwavering belief in the power of public service to transform lives.

Ole Kenta wished Kawuki’s family and loved ones strength and comfort as they mourned their daughter.

On October 23, Jubilee Party Leader Fred Matiang’i has mourned the death of Jubilee Party Chairman for Nyaribari Masaba Constituency, Samson Matoke Nyagaka who died in a road accident

The deceased had previously served as the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Nyamasibi Ward from 2013 to 2017.
