After Shabana Drew 1-1, Here Is How EPL Table Stands

Shabana FC remained sixth in the Kenyan Premier League standings after playing out a 1-1 draw against Migori Youth, dropping two points in their bid to climb the table.

The Kisii-based side moved to six points from four matches, having recorded one victory and three draws without suffering a defeat. Their impressive unbeaten run keeps them among the teams competing near the top of the standings as the new season gathers momentum.

Despite the draw, Shabana remain level on points with Murang’a, Mara Sugar and AFC Leopards, although goal difference separates the sides. Murang’a occupy third place with six points, followed by Mara Sugar in fourth and AFC Leopards in fifth. Shabana sit sixth with an identical points tally to the two sides above them.

The result also means Shabana have collected six points from a possible 12, highlighting their ability to avoid defeat but also the need to turn draws into victories if they are to challenge for the top positions.

At the summit, Gor Mahia continue to set the pace after winning all four of their opening matches. The record Kenyan champions have accumulated 12 points, scoring seven goals and conceding two to establish a five-point advantage over second-placed KCB.

KCB have seven points from four matches after recording two wins, one draw and one defeat. Murang’a are third with six points, while APS Bomet and 3K FC occupy seventh and eighth positions respectively with five points each.

Kakamega Homeboyz are ninth with four points from three matches, level with Posta Rangers, who have played four games.

At the bottom, Mombasa United remain in the relegation zone after collecting just one point from four matches. Police FC, Mathare United and Ulinzi Stars have two points each, leaving them under pressure to improve their results.

With several teams separated by only a few points, the coming fixtures could significantly reshape the standings. For Shabana, securing victories in their next matches will be crucial to moving closer to the leading pack and maintaining their challenge for a strong league finish.
