Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a post on X after receiving a delegation from CMA CGM Nigeria Shipping Limited, led by the companyās Group Executive Vice President for Finance, Ramon Fernandez, and its Regional Director for Africa, Adeline Gabillaud, at Lagos House, Marina.
The governor noted that CMA CGM already plays an important role in the operations of the Lekki Deep Sea Port, adding that he welcomed the companyās interest in expanding its presence in Lagos.
He also said the visit was Fernandezās first to Lagos, during which he shared the stateās growth story with the delegation.
āLagos is open for business. We are removing bottlenecks to improve the ease of doing business and we are devoted to helping every investor succeed here,ā Sanwo-Olu said.
The governor urged the company to prioritise the recruitment and training of local workers as maritime and shipping activities expand across the state.
According to him, developing local talent would help build lasting capacity within communities and ensure residents benefit from the growth of the sector.
Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administrationās commitment to supporting investors and working with businesses to translate investment opportunities into jobs, economic growth and long-term benefits for Lagos residents.
