“I really do not know whether to laugh or to cry” Keyamo mocks Obi over public funds statement

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has criticised the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, over his remarks on the management of public funds.

During an interview, Peter Obi had said that Nigeria would be significantly wealthier if its leaders had kept public funds in commercial banks rather than mismanaging them.

While he was reacting to the statement in a post on X, Keyamo described Peter Obi’s remarks as foolish, expressing uncertainty over whether to laugh or cry over the comment.

He also claimed that Peter Obi’s approval ratings had declined significantly, adding that Nigeria had avoided a major setback by not electing him into office.

Keyamo wrote, “This dumbness is beyond measure. I really don’t know whether to laugh or to cry. No wonder hisapproval ratings have plummeted so badly.

“Nigeria did not just dodge a bullet; it ducked a massive howitzer!”
