NDC Will Never Take Economic Advice From NPP – Delali Serwoepkor

According to report by Ghonetv on Tuesday 27, October 2026, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, Delali Serwoepkor, has dismissed suggestions that the governing party should rely on economic advice from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, the NDC has no intention of taking economic guidance from the NPP, arguing that the party’s own record in managing the Ghanaian economy does not give it the moral authority to lecture the current administration on economic matters.

Delali Serwoepkor made the comments while defending the NDC government’s approach to managing the country’s economy and responding to criticisms from members of the opposition.

He maintained that the government is focused on implementing policies aimed at improving economic conditions and addressing challenges inherited from the previous administration.

“We, the NDC, will never take economic advice from the NPP,” he stated, stressing that the party would rather concentrate on delivering on its promises to Ghanaians than engage in what he described as unproductive political arguments.

His comments come amid continued debate between the NDC and NPP over Ghana’s economic performance, with both parties presenting different assessments of the country’s fiscal situation and the effectiveness of government policies.

While NPP representatives have continued to criticise aspects of the current government’s economic management, NDC communicators have consistently defended the administration and pointed to measures they believe demonstrate progress.

The exchange reflects the broader political debate over Ghana’s economy, particularly as both major political parties seek to convince the public that they have the better policies and experience to manage the country’s financial affairs.

Serwoepkor’s remarks are therefore likely to generate further discussion, especially among supporters and critics of the two leading political parties as the debate over Ghana’s economic direction continues.
