Kanze Dena Clarifies on Uhuru Kenyatta, Margaret and Their Children’s Social Media Accounts

Kanze Dena Mararo, spokesperson for the Office of former President Uhuru Kenyatta, has issued a warning to Kenyans over social media accounts claiming to represent the former Head of State and his family.

In a statement released on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Dena clarified that Uhuru, his wife Margaret Kenyatta and their children do not operate personal social media accounts.

She said the Office of the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya maintains only two official platforms authorised to communicate on its behalf, urging the public to be cautious when encountering other accounts using the family’s names.

The office identified its official Facebook and X accounts as ‘@4thPresidentKE’ , saying Kenyans should rely on these platforms for authentic information concerning the former President and his family.

Dena cautioned against accounts, pages and profiles purporting to speak for Uhuru, Margaret or their children, emphasizing that the two listed platforms are the only authorized channels for official communication from the office.

The clarification seeks to prevent the public from mistaking unauthorized online accounts for genuine sources of information about the former First Family.

Dena urged Kenyans to verify the authenticity of social media pages before accepting their posts as official statements or sharing information attributed to the family.

The statement was issued for immediate release by the Office of the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya.
