Ruto Reacts After Kalonzo Visited Gachagua at Wamunyoro, Claims What He Went To Do There

President William Ruto has taken a swipe at Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka after he visited former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s Wamunyoro home as opposition leaders strategise to unseat him in the 2027 General Election.

Ruto questioned Kalonzo’s earlier remarks about his presidency, asking why he had said God was using him to lead Kenya, yet he was now working with leaders seeking to remove him from power.

The President spoke on Monday, October 26, while launching the construction of a road in Tseikuru, Kitui County, Kalonzo’s political backyard.

Ruto reminded Kalonzo that he supported his election as a Member of Parliament in 1992, when they were both in KANU, and challenged him to return the favour by supporting his re-election bid.

He also suggested that the opposition should give him an interview for the presidency, just as they interviewed him for the deputy president position in 2022.
