Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Interruptions In Four Counties On Tuesday

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity interruptions in selected areas of Nairobi, Nyeri, Embu and Tana River counties on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, to allow for scheduled maintenance work.In a notice released on Monday, October 26, the utility company listed the neighbourhoods and surrounding locations expected to experience temporary power disruptions during the exercise.

In Nairobi, parts of Parklands will be affected, including Laxicon, Parklands Road, Muthithi Road, Mogotio Road and Wambugu Road, together with adjacent customers.

The interruption will also affect parts of Ngong Road and Dagoretti Corner.

The listed locations include Lenana School, Ngando, Racecourse, Talanta Stadium, the Agricultural Society of Kenya, Ayany Estate, parts of Miotoni Road and Rubis Petrol Station, as well as neighbouring customer

In the Mt Kenya region, Kenya Power has scheduled interruptions in parts of Nyeri County, specifically Mihuti and Mukurweini.

The affected locations include Mihuti Market, Mihuti Secondary School, Thiha Village, Marandini, Ngimaini PCEA and Njege, alongside adjacent customers.

Parts of Embu County will also experience an interruption in the Karambari and Kirie areas.

The notice lists Karambari, Mbarwari, Kirie Market, Kirie Mission, Mukorori, Kiamugongo and Gatua, including nearby customers.

Meanwhile, in the Coast region, parts of Minjila in Tana River County will be affected.

The areas listed include Basket of Hope, Idsowe, Danisa, Tarda, Gamba Primary School, Hewani, Wema Mission, Wema, Kulesa,

Garsen, Maziwa, Bilisa, Konkona, Sheli and Kajisteni, together with adjacent customers.

Kenya Power advised customers in the listed areas to prepare for the temporary disruption and plan their activities accordingly.
