US-Based Influencer Bernice Saroni Makes Bold Promise to Kenyan Who Applies and Wins US DV Lottery

US based Kenyan content creator Bernice Saroni has encouraged Kenyans hoping to relocate to the United States to apply for the Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery, promising to personally welcome one successful applicant at an American airport.

In a Facebook post shared on Saturday, October 24, Saroni expressed hope that someone from a rural Kenyan home would participate in the programme for the first time, emerge successful and travel to the US the following year.

The influencer said she would be willing to pick up the successful applicant at the airport and share the moment with her social media followers. She also encouraged Kenyans not to overlook the opportunity, suggesting that one of her followers could be the next person to benefit from the programme.

Saroni further promised to share the application link and guide interested Kenyans through the process once registration opens. In her post, she wrote, “Once it’s open, I’ll post the link and guide you guys,” signalling her intention to help followers navigate the application process when the opportunity becomes available.

The Diversity Visa Lottery, commonly known as the US Green Card Lottery, is administered by the United States Department of State. It provides eligible applicants from countries with historically low levels of immigration to the US an opportunity to apply for permanent residency. Applicants must also meet the programme’s education or qualifying work-experience requirements.

Kenyans interested in participating in the upcoming DV 2027 programme should note that the registration dates had not yet been officially published on the US Department of State’s programme page as of October 25, 2026. Prospective applicants are advised to monitor official government announcements for the opening date and application instructions.

Being selected in the lottery does not automatically guarantee a US visa. Successful applicants must still meet the eligibility requirements and complete the necessary immigration procedures. The US government also advises applicants to use official channels and remain cautious of individuals or websites claiming they can guarantee selection.
