‘Bola Pass Ebola’ – Dino Melaye Reveals why Nigerians no Longer Fear Dreaded Virus

Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has ridiculed Nigeria’s economic situation under President Bola Tinubu, claiming citizens are more concerned about hardship than the newly announced Ebola outbreak.

In a post on his verified X handle on Sunday, Melaye quipped that Nigerians have become desensitised to bad news because of the severe economic challenges they face.

“Nigerians seem not to worry about the announcement of the Ebola outbreak. Everybody no send, because they have been living with Ebola senior brother for more than 3 years now. Bola! Bola pass Ebola,” he wrote.

According to Melaye, the suffering under Tinubu’s administration is worse than the deadly virus, leaving citizens “immune” to fear of epidemics.Nigeria confirmed a fresh Ebola outbreak last week, 12 years after the virus first appeared in the country.

But Melaye argued that the economic crisis has overshadowed public concern about health threats, reinforcing his reputation for sharp, comic political commentary.
