Wa–Sawla road dualisation: Traders demand alternative spaces before demolition

Shop owners along the Wa–Sawla road in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region are appealing for alternative trading spaces as authorities prepare to demolish structures obstructing the planned road dualisation project.The Ghana Highway Authority says structures marked for removal are expected to be demolished by the end of October 2026 to allow construction to proceed.
