“I Spent So Much On You I Won’t Let You Go till You Pay Me GH¢190,000”— Man to Girlfriend on Live TV
A young woman, Selina Akumpisi, has reportedly faced difficulties ending her relationship with her boyfriend, Sylvester Okoh, who allegedly wants her to pay GH¢190,000 before he agrees to the breakup.
Ghbase reported the matter in a Facebook post dated October 8, 2026, citing Selina’s account during an interview with Ohemaa Adazoa on Ahenfie FM. Selina said she had decided to leave the relationship, but Sylvester was unwilling to let her go.
She revealed that she met Sylvester when she was still in senior high school. Although he expressed interest in dating her at the time, she rejected his proposal. He approached her again after she completed school, and she eventually accepted his offer.
Selina stated that Sylvester supported her financially, including paying rent and assisting with other living expenses. They later moved in together, despite resistance from some relatives who reportedly objected to the relationship because of his Ewe background.
She explained that her love for Sylvester kept her in the relationship for some time. However, she alleged that his conduct became increasingly difficult to cope with.
Selina claimed that he often insulted and embarrassed her whenever he received information about her that he disliked. Although he would reportedly apologise after she explained her side of the story, she said the same behaviour repeatedly occurred.
After enduring the situation for a long time, Selina said she decided to end the relationship. However, she alleged that Sylvester rejected her decision.
She also claimed that he brought schnapps and eggs and threatened to place a curse on her because he believed he had sacrificed too much financially for her.
Sylvester reportedly maintains that he remains in love with Selina and wants them to stay together. He is also alleged to have demanded GH¢190,000 from her, saying the money would reimburse the expenses he incurred during their relationship.
