Kaduna Rally: Tinubu Breaks Silence, Reveals Who Is Responsible For Hunger And Poverty In Nigeria

According to a report by The Daily Post on Saturday, October 24, 2026, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has fired back at his critics, pointing accusing fingers directly at opposition leaders for the current economic hardship, poverty, and hunger facing Nigerians.

Speaking on Saturday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off rally held at the Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna State ahead of the 2027 general elections, the President maintained that his administration is actively working to correct past governance errors.

Addressing a massive and cheering crowd of supporters, Tinubu dismissed fierce criticisms from opposition figures regarding the soaring cost of living and inflation triggered by the removal of the petrol subsidy and other bold financial reforms introduced since he assumed office.

“I hear my opponents talking about hunger and poverty. Who created it? They did! We are trying to eradicate it,” Tinubu stated firmly, insisting that those now complaining are the true architects of the nation’s past economic woes.

The presidential address comes amidst widespread public debate concerning economic difficulties, food price hikes, and rising living expenses across the country.

While opposition leaders continue to lambast the administration over worsening living conditions and security challenges, Tinubu has consistently defended his policies as essential steps required to stabilize the macroeconomy and secure long-term national prosperity.

During the colourful Kaduna event, the President urged citizens, especially the youth population, to keep faith with his administration’s second-term agenda, assuring them that better days lie ahead.

He called on eligible voters to secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and give him another mandate to consolidate ongoing developmental strides as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 ballot.
