Jaoko Oburu to host Luo, Luhya leaders in bid to preserve Raila’s legacy

Jaoko Oburu has announced plans to bring together Luo and Luhya leaders and elders at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi in Bondo, Siaya County, as efforts to preserve the political legacy of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga gather momentum.In a statement on his X account on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Oburu said the meeting would bring together leaders from Luo Nyanza and the Luhya community, led by Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya, to strengthen the longstanding relationship between the two communities.
