Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has inaugurated the state chapter of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement and unveiled 25 campaign vehicles to strengthen grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Tinubu.
Alia disclosed this in a statement following the inauguration ceremony in Makurdi, which was attended by political leaders, stakeholders and supporters of the movement.
The governor reaffirmed his appreciation to Tinubu for what he described as the President’s continued support for Benue State, particularly in security, infrastructure, education, healthcare, workers’ welfare, urban renewal and industrial development.
He said his administration was recording progress across key sectors, citing more than 670 kilometres of roads constructed, investments in education and healthcare, improved transportation and efforts to revitalise industrial activities.
Alia said the achievements reflected his government’s commitment to delivering tangible development outcomes for the people of Benue.
The governor also commended former Benue State Governor and Senator, Gabriel Suswam, alongside other political leaders, for their solidarity and recognition of his administration’s development efforts.
He stressed that the collective pursuit of the state’s progress should take precedence over political differences.
Alia further acknowledged High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, the leadership of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement and other stakeholders for their contributions to grassroots engagement.
The inauguration and presentation of the 25 vehicles are expected to strengthen the movement’s mobilisation efforts across Benue State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
