Chelsea will be without goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, who recently underwent surgery for a fractured jaw. The injury occurred during the Blues’ 2–0 victory over Everton last weekend.

Captain Reece James is also set to miss the game after having an operation on his knee, while winger Jamie Gittens remains sidelined as he recovers from an ankle problem.

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has confirmed that Pep Chavarria will not be fit to face Tottenham. Emmanuel Emegha is another concern for the Blues. The forward had returned to training but has since suffered a minor setback, leaving his availability uncertain.
