Sunbeth Energies expands self-service fuelling network
Sunbeth Energies Limited, an indigenous energy firm and pioneer of self-service fuelling in the country, has expanded its facility to three with the launch of its third self-service station in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The facility, located in Ada George, builds on the company’s existing self-service operations in Lagos and Abuja, extending a more convenient, transparent and customer-controlled fuelling experience to motorists and other users in the South-South region.
Commenting on the launch, Chief Operating Officer at Sunbeth Energies, Bunmi Isijola, said:
“Self-service is not about replacing people; it is about giving customers greater control over their fuelling experience while creating new ways for our people to support and serve them. Our Customer Assistants are trained to guide motorists through the process, answer their questions and provide assistance whenever needed. As we bring this experience to Port Harcourt, our commitment remains the same: to make fuelling more convenient, transparent and reliable for every customer.”
With its self-service stations now operating in three regions, Sunbeth Energies continues to showcase how technology can improve the everyday fuelling experience. Its self-service model supports greater transparency, convenience and customer autonomy.
The expansion reflects Sunbeth Energies’ commitment to integrating innovations into everyday fuelling, giving customers across different regions greater control over their transactions while maintaining access to assistance when needed.
With continuous support from its technical partners, Techbroker and Fuelmetrics, Sunbeth Energies has recorded noteworthy success with its self service stations. The company, Isijola said, has recorded a 100 per cent transaction success rate with zero service downtime since September 2026 in both its self service stations, measured by customers’ ability to complete payment and dispense their fuel without transactional issues.
The new launch builds on this success and the operational learnings to continue developing a retail fuelling model centred on customer confidence, convenience, and reliable service.
Similar to the first two self service stations in Lagos and Abuja, customers visiting the Ada George outlet can complete their fuelling transactions using card payments or bank transfers. The process is designed to be straightforward with instructions available at the pumps to assist users complete payment, dispense fuel and receive confirmation of their transaction.
Customer Assistants are also available to guide users through the process, answer questions and provide support when needed. Their role ensures that while technology enhances the customer experience, human assistance remains within reach.
