Shina Peller’s Pellercare 360 Free Medical Outreach Begins Friday in Oyo North

The initiative, themed “Alaafia De Ile Wa,” is designed to improve access to quality healthcare, particularly in underserved communities, by bringing medical consultations, diagnostic services and free treatments closer to residents.

According to a statement issued by Kola Popoola, Chief Press Secretary, Office of Hon. Shina Peller, the first phase of the outreach will hold at Ojude Oba Market Square in Iseyin on Friday, October 23, followed by another session at Ogbomoso Town Hall in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area on Saturday, October 24.

The statement noted that both events would feature full-day medical clinics, with all services provided free of charge.

The outreach will operate through four specialised clinical units to address the healthcare needs of different segments of the population.

The Women’s Health Pavilion will provide breast examinations, pregnancy assessments, fertility counselling, health records and referrals, while the Men’s Health Corner will offer screenings for hypertension and diabetes, cardiovascular checks and preventive health education.

Similarly, the Elders Honour Clinic will prioritise residents aged 60 and above for medical consultations, while the Child Health Festival will provide paediatric screenings, deworming interventions, nutritional assessments and health education for parents.

The statement added that prescribed medications would also be distributed to participants at no cost, alongside the consultations and diagnostic services.

Pellercare 360 is positioned as part of Peller’s healthcare agenda for Oyo North, with a focus on addressing gaps in grassroots healthcare delivery and extending essential medical services to communities that may have limited access to healthcare facilities.

The initiative comes ahead of the 2027 general elections, as Peller seeks election to represent Oyo North Senatorial District in the Senate.

Residents of the district are expected to benefit from the outreach as the programme begins its community-based medical interventions in Iseyin and Ogbomoso.
