‘I met her just 2 months ago’ – Obinim breaks silence on Ohemaa Dynamite, theft case
Bishop Daniel Obinim has broken his silence on the controversy surrounding TikTok content creator Ohemaa Dynamite, whom he is rumoured to be in an amorous relationship with.
Earlier reports suggest that Obinim has been dating Ohemaa since 2024, and their relationship has hit rock bottom after she allegedly stole GHS 1.5m from his safe with the help of accomplices.
The reports further claimed that Obinim had reported the matter to the police and that only he and Dynamite knew the safe’s passcode, not even his wife.
Addressing the rumours, the founder of the International God’s Way Church said he met Dynamite only about two months ago, challenging claims that their alleged amorous relationship had lasted for nearly two years.
He maintained that members of his congregation could testify to his account and when he introduced her to the church.
Explaining how he came to know Ohemaa Dynamite, Obinim said he first took notice of her during the controversy involving her and her godfather, Prophet Ogyaba.
He recalled seeing reports about the matter while speaking with his estranged wife, Florence Obinim. According to him, Dynamite’s natural beauty caught his attention, prompting him to reach out to her because he wanted her to join his church.
Their subsequent interactions, he said, brought them closer.
Obinim also addressed a video circulating online that reportedly showed Dynamite in his bedroom. He admitted the claim, but added that Florence recorded and shared it to support her allegations that he had been unfaithful.
Speaking on the alleged theft case, Obinim stated emphatically that Dynamite is a thief, but the reports of theft have been exaggerated.
“Yes, you could say she is a thief, but she has not stolen any idol from me. My ministry is centered on Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I have no association with the devil. Also, my gold is not missing, that’s a lie. These are all elements to disgrace the girl,” he stated.
Obinim also denied reports that he collapsed following the alleged break-in, insisting that he had never fainted in his life and had not been hospitalised over the incident.
To clear his name, Obinim said he will be releasing audios and videos of his interacting with Ohemaa Dynamite in the coming days.
