Video: Osun State Gov. Adeleke Dances with Tinubu at APC Presidential Campaign Council Inauguration

According to a report by Vanguard on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has attracted attention after dancing alongside President Bola Tinubu at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election in Abuja.

The governor, popularly known for his energetic dance moves at public functions, joined Tinubu in dancing following his speech at the event held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

The moment, captured in a video circulating on social media, drew cheers from attendees as Adeleke displayed his trademark dancing style alongside the president.

Before the dance, Adeleke publicly declared his support for Tinubu’s re-election bid, urging Nigerians to rally behind the president ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

“I am here to throw my weight behind Tinubu’s return to Aso Rock. Let us rise from every nook and corner to support the President. Let him come and complete the good work he has begun,” the governor said.

Adeleke also urged Nigerians to continue praying for the president, arguing that the success of the Tinubu administration would benefit the country.

“I want you to continue to pray for Mr President because if he succeeds, we all succeed. I know we will get there,” he added.

The governor further expressed confidence in the president’s re-election prospects, saying he believed Tinubu would return to the Presidential Villa after the 2027 election.

“I am the light, and the light is here. We will sing and dance back to Aso Rock after President Bola Tinubu’s re-election,” Adeleke declared.

He also argued that four years might not be sufficient for the president’s economic reforms to produce their intended results, urging Nigerians to give the administration more time.

The dancing moment followed the APC’s decision to appoint Adeleke as the state coordinator for Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign in Osun State, a development that has generated political interest because the governor belongs to the Accord Party rather than the ruling APC.

The party’s revised campaign council list also named Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo as the coordinator for Tinubu’s campaign in Anambra, while Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, was assigned responsibility for Rivers State and the FCT.

Tinubu is the chairman of the campaign council, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda serving as first and second vice-chairmen, respectively. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma was named secretary of the council.

Adeleke’s appointment is particularly notable given the political rivalry between the APC and the Accord Party in Osun. In the August 15, 2026 governorship election, Adeleke secured re-election after defeating the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, with 511,067 votes against Oyebamiji’s 444,815 votes, according to reported election results.
