UCL Table After PSG Beat Man City 4-2

According to a report by BBC SPORT on Wednesday October 14, 2026, PSG secured an impressive 4-2 victory over Manchester City in their Champions League clash, after producing a dominant first-half performance and surviving a late fightback from the English side.

The French champions scored three times before the break and added another goal in the second half to claim an important win.

Manchester City struggled to contain PSG’s attacking threat from the opening stages, although the hosts had opportunities of their own. Antoine Semenyo missed a promising chance in the 12th minute when his effort from close range sailed over the crossbar.

PSG punished City’s wastefulness in the 13th minute when Desire Doue opened the scoring. The forward received a pass from Fabian Ruiz outside the penalty area before firing a powerful shot into the bottom-left corner.

The visitors doubled their advantage two minutes later through Ousmane Dembele. Doue delivered an excellent cross into the penalty area, allowing Dembele to connect with a close-range header that beat Gianluigi Donnarumma.

City attempted to respond, but PSG remained dangerous going forward. Vitinha forced Donnarumma into a save in the 29th minute before finding the net three minutes later. Warren Zaire-Emery supplied the pass, and the midfielder finished neatly into the right side of the goal to make it 3-0.

Manchester City made three substitutions at half-time, introducing Iliman Ndiaye, Ayyoub Bouaddi and Matheus Nunes in an attempt to change the game’s direction.

The changes helped City improve, and Erling Haaland pulled one back in the 53rd minute. Ndiaye provided the assist, with the Norwegian striker finishing from close range.

However, PSG restored their three-goal advantage in the 62nd minute when Maghnes Akliouche scored. His effort appeared manageable, but Donnarumma failed to deal with the shot, allowing the ball to enter the net.

City continued pushing forward, with Enzo Fernandez striking the right post in the 71st minute. Haaland also missed a header against the crossbar three minutes later.

The Norwegian eventually scored again in the 75th minute, converting Ayyoub Bouaddi’s excellent pass to reduce the deficit to 4-2.

Despite City’s late pressure, PSG held on for the victory. Donnarumma saved Ferran Torres’ penalty in stoppage time after Matheus Nunes conceded a spot-kick, ensuring the visitors finished the contest with a two-goal advantage.
