GAL VS BAR: Barcelona Official Starting Line-up Against Galatasaray

According to a report by Barca Universal on Tuesday October 13, 2026, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has confirmed his starting lineup for the UEFA Champions League clash against Galatasaray at Rams Park, making several changes to the team that defeated Getafe in their previous La Liga fixture.

The biggest surprise is Dani Olmo’s inclusion as a false nine, with the Spanish international moving into the central attacking position after playing as an attacking midfielder against Getafe.

Gabriel Jesus drops to the substitutes’ bench to accommodate Olmo, while Anthony Gordon and Lamine Yamal retain their places on the wings as Barcelona prepare for the important European encounter.

Fermin Lopez returns to the starting lineup to fill the midfield position vacated by Olmo’s advanced role. Pedri also comes into the team after beginning the previous league match on the bench, replacing Gavi.

Summer signing Rodri keeps his place in Flick’s midfield as Barcelona look to maintain their attacking quality and control against the Turkish champions.

There are also changes in defence, with Pau Cubarsi and Joao Cancelo earning starting positions in place of Jules Kounde and Xavi Espart.

Eric Garcia moves to right-back, while Gerard Martin continues alongside Cubarsi in central defence. Joan Garcia retains his position between the posts as Barcelona prepare to face Galatasaray away from home.

Flick’s selection reflects his willingness to adjust the team’s structure for the Champions League fixture, particularly by deploying Olmo in a more advanced role while reshaping the midfield and defensive combinations.

Barcelona starting XI: Joan Garcia; Eric Garcia, Pau Cubarsi, Gerard Martin, Joao Cancelo; Rodri, Pedri, Fermin Lopez; Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Anthony Gordon.
