Selma Blair arrested for biting flight attendant, trying to open plane door

Selma Blair was arrested Sunday after allegedly punching one flight attendant and biting another on a Delta Airlines flight.

The actress allegedly attacked the workers after trying to open the plane’s door mid-flight, per TMZ.

Sources told the outlet that Blair had an alleged confrontation with crew members while the plane was in the air on its way to John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Two flight attendants reported injuries and one was taken to the hospital.

Blair was reportedly put in restraints on the plane and arrested upon landing. While in the ambulance en route to the hospital, Blair allegedly repeatedly kicked a Port Authority police officer in the head.

Once at the hospital, the “Legally Blonde” star — who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018 — allegedly assaulted a nurse, who has pressed charges.

Page Six can confirm that Blair was hit with two federal assault charges by the FBI. She is charged federally for assaulting the flight attendant and with state charges for assaulting the police officer and the nurse.

“Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition,” her rep tells Page Six.

Blair remains in the hospital for evaluation as the FBI is currently investigating the incident, according to TMZ.

In disturbing audio of Blair exiting the plane obtained by the outlet, she can be heard screaming as an alarm rings.

The dispatch audio also notes she allegedly bashed her head against a bulkhead as law enforcement waited for her on arrival.

Her recent Delta Airlines incident is also not the first time Blair has been kicked off a flight.

In June 2016, she caused a commotion aboard a Los Angeles-bound flight after she allegedly mixed medication with alcohol.

At the time, she was traveling with her then 4-year-old son, Arthur Saint, and his father, Jason Bleick, when she was removed from the plane on a stretcher and rushed to a Los Angeles area hospital.

The “Dancing With the Stars” alum reflected on the “horrifying and humiliating” experience in 2024.

“I was so messed up and dehydrated and hungover and didn’t know I had neurological issues,” she told Us Weekly.

“I didn’t understand anything,” she noted. “I had to grow up.”

The “Cruel Intentions” actress has, admittedly, bitten other public figures.

In her memoir, “Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up,” released in 2022, Blair confesses to biting Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and Seth Mac Farlane.

The incident with Miller took place in 2006 when the two women met for the first time at the Chateau Marmont.

“So, I grabbed her arm and bit it, playfully, as if it were an apple,” she writes. “Even as I held her forearm in my mouth I was aghast at myself. I thought, What have I gotten myself into? Or her? This is horrible behavior.”

According to Blair, Miller jokingly played off the odd interaction and didn’t “shame” her for it.

Her chomp on MacFarlane also took place during their first meeting.

“I was starstruck,” she writes. “What do I do in public situations where I admire someone, but feel as if I don’t bring anything to the party? I bit him on the hand. ‘Whoa!’ he yelled. ‘That really hurt.’”

Her biting episode with Moss took a turn for the worse when the supermodel laughed at first, prompting Blair to bite her finger again, harder.

“The second time, she did not laugh and exclaimed, ‘That really f–king hurt!’ The Calvin Klein model then punched Blair in the back and grabbed the actress’ thumb “and crunched right into it.”

As for why Blair felt the need to bite others, she writes that it is triggered by feeling “overwhelmed” in “social situations.”
