Punjab Provides ₹4.82 Crore in Self-Employment Loans to 139 Backward Classes Beneficiaries: Dr Baljit Kaur

Dr Baljit Kaur, Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, said the government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann was implementing welfare policies aimed at ensuring equal opportunities and inclusive growth for every section of society.

She said promoting self-employment and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for needy families remained key priorities of the state government.

The minister said self-employment schemes were encouraging beneficiaries to utilise their skills and capabilities to establish their own businesses and generate income. The objective, she added, was not limited to providing financial assistance but also to create opportunities for families to improve their economic condition and contribute to Punjab’s growth.

Dr Baljit Kaur said these initiatives were helping beneficiaries turn their skills into sustainable sources of income, improve their standard of living and move towards financial independence.

Appealing to eligible citizens to take advantage of the schemes, she urged people to avail the maximum benefits of self-employment initiatives and other welfare programmes being implemented by the state government.

The minister said greater public participation would help ensure that government assistance reached every deserving family and contribute to the vision of a prosperous and self-reliant Rangla Punjab.
