Diddy Rushed From Fort Dix After Head Injury, TMZ Says.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is back in the headlines this week following a trip to the hospital.
Click for sound 0:00 / 0:00 Combs is serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in New Jersey. A jury convicted him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Jurors acquitted him on the sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges, but he could avoid prison time. The music mogul ended up in solitary after a fight with another inmate back in July. Reports at the time said the other inmate insulted Combs before punches flew.
TMZ is now citing sources at Fort Dix who say an ambulance left the prison around 1 a.m. Saturday. Those sources note that Combs was conscious and speaking when he returned to the prison before sunrise.
The sources said the injury did not appear life-threatening. The outlet says Combs went to a nearby hospital, but it has not confirmed that.
As to how Combs hurt his head remains unclear. One version of TMZ’s headline mentions a fall, yet the story itself gives no cause. The report includes no statement from the Bureau of Prisons or from Combs’s representatives.

Combs’s time at Fort Dix drew scrutiny shortly before this incident. According to NBC News, four men who served time in his unit described a comfortable routine. They said Combs paid other inmates to cook his meals, clean his shower and give him massages.
The men also claimed Combs could get contraband, including cellphones and Hennessy. NBC News said it obtained photos and videos from inside the prison, including footage of Combs appearing to use a contraband cellphone. NBC News also reported that Combs was later removed from a drug treatment program.
A move to solitary followed the report. According to TMZ, multiple sources said Fort Dix returned Combs to the special housing unit. That unit is better known as solitary confinement. TMZ did not name any official source.
NBC News asked the Bureau of Prisons about the reported move. “For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not comment on the conditions of confinement,” a spokesperson told NBC News.
The reported move to solitary confinement came with another change. According to TMZ, Bureau of Prisons records now list March 2, 2028, as Combs’s release date. That date replaces Jan. 21, 2028, a shift of about six weeks.
TMZ’s headline ties the change to the NBC News report. The story itself cites no official reason for the new date. Combs arrived at Fort Dix last October, so the March 2028 date would leave him with about 17 months.
Saturday’s ambulance trip adds one more chapter to a busy few months for Combs. For now, the reports about that night trace back to TMZ’s sources.
