Woman Finds Out Her Husband Has Been Sleeping with Her Friend, Dumps Her for Asking About It

A Kenyan mother who once sat in a dark rented house with no electricity and no plan has finally walked into a home of her own.

Becky Kithaka shared her story on social media, recounting how her marriage collapsed after a betrayal she never saw coming.

She alleged that her former husband stopped supporting their five children and later married a woman she had once trusted as a close friend.

According to Becky, he initially promised to keep paying school fees and providing for the family.

The contributions reportedly became less frequent before stopping altogether.

The children were sometimes sent home over unpaid fees, and food often ran short.

She said she would claim to have eaten already so that the children could have what was available.

Some evenings, supper was only black tea, with the older children pretending not to be hungry so their younger siblings could have more.

Rent arrears kept piling up, and many people she had counted on slowly disappeared.

She recalled one low moment when she sat on the floor in darkness after her children had fallen asleep, with the electricity disconnected.

Becky said she prayed through those nights, unsure if life would ever change.

She then took any work she could find, worked long hours, sold items and saved whatever she earned.

Her goal was a home where her children would never again fear eviction.

Construction was slow, and she ran out of money more than once, forcing her to pause the project.

She always returned to it, finding strength in what her children had endured.

When the house was complete, she cried outside it with all five of them beside her.

Becky described it as proof that determination can outlast even the most painful seasons.

She said she refused to let bitterness define her and urged other single mothers to keep working and believe that hard times do not last.
