Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Emmanuel Poku was named Match of the Match in Almere City FC 3-0 home victory against FC Eindhoven in the Dutch Eerste Divisie on Friday.

The promising winger, who was heavily courted by Eredivisie side FC Twente during the summer transfer window of 2026, opened the scoring for his side on the 12th-minute before team-mates M. de Haan and J. Lawrence both struck on the 29th-minute and 61st-minute to put the visitors to sword at the Yanmar Hanasaka Stadion.

Right after the end of the contest, the league’s technical study group through online voting from fans, handed the Ghana-prospect wideman the coveted individual diadem following his magnificent display during the encounter.

Poku, who has started brightly to the new campaign, has so far bagged 4 goals by setting up another 3 across 10 appearances for Almere City FC in the ongoing 26/27 Kitchen Champions Division.

Poku, who is the younger brother of Bayer 04 Leverkusen winger Ernest Poku, are all still eligible to switch international allegiances and play for Ghana at the senior level on the international stage given their Ghanaian heritage.
