The Blues had three weeks to stew on their 3-0 defeat to Brentford before the international break, and made a lightning fast start with two goals in 149 seconds.
Veteran midfielder Henderson broke the deadlock 66 seconds in, before Morgan Rogers scored the 50th goal of his club career with just under two-and-a-half minutes on the clock.
Bournemouth stemmed the tide until half-time, but Chelsea were lightning quick off the mark to start the second half as Joao Pedro made it 3-0, only for Evanilson to give Bournemouth a glimmer of hope.
Yet the game was put beyond doubt by Pedro’s second, before a fine free-kick from Henderson rounded off the rout.
