Military aircraft carrying four Marines bursts into flames, hard-lands in North Carolina: reports
Four Marines needed medical care after a military aircraft they were on burst into flames in North Carolina Thursday morning, according to reports.
The MV-22B Osprey ignited and made an emergency landing in the Bladen Lakes State Forest area during a training exercise, according to WECT.

The military branch added that the Osprey belongs to the Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron and was based out of Air Station New River.
âCivilian and military emergency services responded to the site,â the statement continued.
One Marine suffered burns and was rushed to a nearby clinic for treatment, White Lake Fire Chief Dale Brennan told WECT.
The chief also said multiple fire crews were on the scene and that the aircraft had roughly 6,000 pounds of jet fuel on board.
Air Station New River had training exercises planned this week, the adjacent Camp Lejeune wrote on its website.
âThis incident is currently under investigation,â the Marine Corps added.
