Boy, 13, suffered ‘extreme trauma’ living in home with twin’s body, NC police say

A 13-year-old boy suffered “extreme trauma” when he was forced to share a home with the body of his twin sister, according to investigators in North Carolina.The mother of the twins has been charged with murder, after a year-long investigation concluded the girl died of starvation and neglect in 2025, the High Point Police Department said in an Oct. 8 news release.
