John Kuma’s Wife finally Reveals The Cause of Her Husband’s Death

The widow of late Ghanaian politician John Kumah, Apostle Lilian Kumah, has spoken out against claims that the former Deputy Finance Minister and Ejisu MP was poisoned.

Apostle Kumah insists that her husband’s death was caused by a severe blood condition and not by contaminated food or any form of poisoning.

During an interview, she revealed that John Kumah’s health problem was detected in August 2023 after he underwent medical checks in Germany. She said subsequent examinations by medical professionals in both Germany and Ghana did not establish any evidence of poisoning.

Her comments were made in response to claims attributed to broadcaster Captain Smart, which she described as false, misleading and deeply painful for the family.

According to Apostle Kumah, her late husband remained committed to his public responsibilities even as his health continued to deteriorate. She recalled that he was taken to Suhum Government Hospital on March 7, 2024, after falling seriously ill, but doctors were unable to save his life.

The church leader has expressed frustration over the continued circulation of what she considers unfounded claims about her husband’s death. She urged the public to rely on verified medical information rather than rumours.

She further stated that the medical documentation available to the family provides a clear explanation of what led to John Kumah’s death and should help end the ongoing speculation.

Apostle Kumah has consequently appealed for respect for the family’s privacy as they continue to cope with their loss.
