Dad who allegedly pushed NYC mom, baby off 15th-floor balcony nabbed by US Marshals for ex’s death

Shopping Ends Tonight: Amazon’s Big Deal Days end in hours — SHOP FINAL DEALS The deadbeat dad who allegedly pushed his estranged girlfriend and their 8-month-old daughter off a 15th-floor Bronx apartment balcony — killing the young mom and critically wounding their baby — has been taken into custody by the United States Marshals Service.

Angel Carrasco, 31, was nabbed by the US Marshals Wednesday evening, a day after he allegedly lost his cool and flew into a deadly rage after he failed to reconcile his relationship with his baby’s mom.

Carrasco allegedly shoved Nathaly Ramirez, 23, to her death while she clutched the couple’s infant, Angel Novalty Carrasco-Ramirez, in the early hours of Tuesday, law enforcement sources told The Post.

Officers found the mother and baby girl on the ground with injuries consistent with a fall from an elevated position, the NYPD said.

The pair was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where Ramirez was pronounced dead and her tiny daughter remains fighting for her life in critical condition, cops said.

“This horrific tragedy weighs heavily on every team member who worked this case,” US Marshal Ricky J. Patel said in a statement to The Post.

Carrasco has been on the run since he fled the scene on Tuesday, where he left behind a bouquet of flowers he had apparently hoped would smooth over the couple’s troubled relationship before things took a deadly turn, according to sources.

Earlier Wednesday, the NYPD put out a wanted poster, featuring a chilling image of the alleged killer playing with a large kitchen knife in what appears to be an elevator.

“We owed it to the brave mother who gave her life to save her child from a vicious individual,” Patel said of the arrest. “While nothing can undo this terrible loss, taking this suspect off the street ensures he will answer for his alleged heinous actions.”

The suspected shover has a history of domestic violence-related incidents and was charged with assault twice in separate domestic spats earlier this year, sources told The Post.

Carrasco was busted on Jan. 5 for allegedly slapping Ramirez and leaving her bruised after she complained about him chatting with an ex-girlfriend, the sources said.

Just three days later, he was nabbed in another domestic dispute with Ramirez, in which sources said he was charged with burglary after he broke into her apartment and waited for her.

That case, however, was later sealed and further details were not immediately available, the sources said.

Carrasco was also accused of sending threatening texts to an ex-girlfriend and has at least two other arrests on his rap sheet that include separate false impersonation and marijuana possession busts in 2016, according to the sources.

Haunting photos from the crime scene show a baby’s diaper and blanket on the ground outside the 18-story apartment building at 2550 Olinville Ave. in the Bronx following the tragic incident.

Building tenant Robin Mendzies recalled hearing “someone shouting, ‘Jump!’ It was a male voice.”

“Then I heard a big thud and a woman wailing, ‘No please, no!’ It sounded like she was begging for an inevitable thing not to happen,” Mendzies said.

A memorial with candles and flowers for the slain mother was set up outside the apartment building Wednesday — alongside a picture of Ramirez and an “October is Domestic Violence Month” poster.

“In the last moment of her life, she was protecting her daughter,” high school pal Dominique Rosado said.

“That’s what it means to be a mother. She was a good mother,” she said.
