TTPA delegation invites PPP to APC

ISLAMABAD  – A delegation of the Tehreek Tahafuz Aain-e-Pakistan (TTPA) on Tuesday visited the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Secretariat in Islamabad and invited the PPP to participate in the opposition’s All Parties Conference (APC).

The TTAP delegation met PPP Parliamentarians Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari. The delegation comprised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan, Senator Allama Nasir Abbas, Senator Zeeshan Khanzada and TTPA spokesperson Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai.

During the meeting, the TTPA delegation formally invited the PPP to participate in an all-parties conference, planned after the scheduled October 4 protest by the PTI and allies, and briefed the party leadership on its objectives and agenda.

Welcoming the delegation, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said the invitation would be conveyed to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said the TTPA delegation would also be informed about Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s response to the invitation.

The meeting also discussed the prevailing political situation in the country, supremacy of the Constitution, strengthening of democratic institutions and contacts among political parties. Bukhari said the PPP considered engagement and consultation with political parties important on constitutional and democratic matters.
