Petrol price cut by Rs1.49, diesel by Rs2.73 per litre

The government has reduced petrol and diesel prices under the latest fuel-price revision, with the new rates set to take effect from September 30, 2026.

Petrol prices have been lowered by Rs1.49 per litre, bringing the rate down to Rs387.54 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs2.73 per litre to Rs402.24.

The latest adjustment marks the second consecutive reduction in petroleum prices. Over the two most recent revisions, petrol has become cheaper by a combined Rs3.76 per litre, while diesel has recorded a cumulative decline of Rs6.29 per litre.
