Kalonzo Announces When He Will Meet Ruto, Details

Political discussions surrounding Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka and President William Ruto have taken a fresh turn after the former Vice President clarified when he would be ready to engage the Head of State.

Kalonzo has recently faced renewed speculation over his relationship with Ruto, particularly as political formations continue positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election. In July, Wiper leaders dismissed reports that Kalonzo had held talks with Ruto about a possible political arrangement before the elections.

However, Kalonzo has now provided a clearer indication of when such a conversation could happen.

According to remarks attributed to the Wiper leader, he would be prepared to have a conversation with Ruto after the 2027 presidential election. His position comes as opposition parties continue consultations over how they will approach the next electoral contest.

The issue has attracted attention because Kalonzo remains one of the key figures in the opposition camp. His political movements and statements have therefore continued to generate discussion as different parties consider possible alliances.

Kalonzo has also spoken about the need for the 2027 election to be conducted fairly. During a church service in Bondo, Siaya County, he said political leaders should be ready to accept the voters’ decision if the contest is conducted democratically.

His latest position has added another layer to the ongoing political conversations surrounding the two leaders.

For now, Kalonzo’s message suggests that any direct political conversation with Ruto should wait until after Kenyans have cast their ballots. This has placed renewed focus on the opposition’s plans and how the political landscape could change after the 2027 contest.

With the election still ahead, both sides are expected to continue mobilising supporters and building their respective political alliances.
