The Central North Regional Police Command has said it has rescued a 30-year-old man who was allegedly abducted at Assin Fosu in the Central Region.
The victim, Bismark Amoh, is currently receiving medical attention while efforts are ongoing to arrest the suspects.
The police said investigations would continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding the abduction and any further details will be communicated.
Bismark was allegedly kidnapped on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
The police have thus intensified the search for the arrest of the perpetrators, who were said to have demanded GH¢45,000 ransom.
A video of Bismark sent to his family showed that he had been stripped and tied with a threat to kill him if the money was not sent.
In spite of raising about GH¢19,500, the kidnappers reportedly turned down the offer and demanded GH¢30,500 more before he was released.
The victim was subsequently rescued by the police.
