Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has paid tribute to her late colleague, Taiwo Hassan.
Kemi Filani reported on Sunday, August 23rd, that the actor had died after battling stage 4 cancer. His daughter shared the sad news in a live video.
He was buried amidst tears on Monday with many of his industry colleagues in attendance.


While giving a tribute at his 8-day Fidau prayer, she described late Taiwo as her boss, recounting how he contributed greatly to her person when she came back from London to Nigeria and joined Odunfa.
She noted how the late actor was there for her and warmly welcomed her. She described Taiwo as her boss, an honest, peaceful, and irreplaceable person.
“Ogogo wasn’t just a boss to me; he was someone who contributed greatly to my person when I came back from London to Nigerians joined Odunfa. He was there for me, and I was greatly and warmly welcomed. He was honest, peaceful and irreplaceable”.
To celebrate the actor’s life, fans and lovers of Taiwo Hassan came out in the hundreds to honour him in Abule Egba. In a viral video, the late actor’s pictures were displayed on a big screen as many gathered to pay their last respects.
Actors, Ibrahim Chatta, Itele, and Kelvin Ikeduba, in a video shared online, paid their tribute to the legend in their dialect. The trio spoke about the late veteran and how kind and generous he was. They also offered prayers for his soul.
Just a day after his burial, his colleague, Sunday Afolabi, had visited his graveside. He expressed sadness at how death took away a man who was handsome and was the dream of many women. He said if death could have been bribed, they would have given everything to keep him alive. The actor lamented that despite their prayers for him, death still took him away.
To honour the late actor, Modinat Aramide Lawal, better known as Iya Dabira, held a Salat at her home for him.
At his funeral, in a heartbreaking video, Yinka Quadri was seen shedding uncontrollable tears as he arrived at the venue.
Actor, Femi Adebayo, during the premiere of his movie, shed tears as he spoke about the late veteran. He described Taiwo Hassan as a great man who fought hard to live.
Fuji singers, K1 and Malaika also broke down on stage while performing.
Actress, Bimbo Thomas, couldn’t hold back her tears as she mourned the late actor. She said the news of his death is sad, however, God is unquestionable.
Ogun State governorship candidate, Senator Yayi, had erected billboards in his honour in Ogun State.
During his sickness, he had personally reached out to top cancer specialists to help Ogogo. The veteran has been admitted to the operating theatre for treatment.
Yinka Quadri, while expressing gratitude to the public, revealed that they had received hundreds of offers from spiritual and traditional healers. Unfortunately, it is difficult to move Ogogo from the hospital to different locations at this stage of his treatment. He encouraged them to continue doing whatever they can from their respective locations and comfort zones.
