By Kingsley Mamore

Dambai (O/R), Aug. 30, GNA – Mr Francis Gesaloge Boyesah, Oti Regional President of the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD), is seeking to become Deputy Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Oti Region.

Mr Boyesah, who has distinguished himself through disability advocacy and leadership, said his candidature was aimed at contributing to the development, organisation and strengthening of the NDC at the regional level.

His aspiration also highlights the importance of inclusive leadership and equal participation in political and public affairs, particularly the representation of persons with disabilities in decision-making processes.

As a disability advocate and regional leader, Mr Boyesah’s candidature demonstrates that physical disability should not be a barrier to political participation, leadership or public service.

His campaign is anchored on the principles of unity of purpose, development for all and prosperity for the Oti Region, with emphasis on building a party structure where every member, irrespective of physical ability or social circumstances, has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully.

The Deputy Regional Secretary position requires effective coordination, communication and administrative support to the Regional Executive, making organisational competence and commitment to the party important considerations in the contest.

Mr Boyesah’s candidature is, therefore, expected to add an important dimension to the regional contest by highlighting the role persons with disabilities can play in political leadership and decision-making.

His ambition comes at a time when calls for greater inclusion of persons with disabilities in governance and leadership continue to gain prominence, with disability advocates urging political parties and institutions to create equal opportunities for participation.

Mr Boyesah is seeking the mandate of NDC delegates in the Oti Region to serve as Deputy Regional Secretary, with his candidature projecting a message of inclusion, representation and leadership without barriers.
