Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua is facing a fresh challenge to his dominance of Mt Kenya politics after influential lawmaker Ndindi Nyoro quit William Ruto’s ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and joined the opposition as leader of the People’s Party of Kenya (PPK).
