“It was an opportunity for us to test our new players in a competitive game and the whole team against a formidable opponent even as we prepare for a new season,” said Munga.
Munga went ahead to explain Simba’s place in continental football, terming the invitation to grace the Simba Day as an honor.

“Simba is a big team not only in the region but also the continent and so getting an invitation amongst the many teams they could have chosen was a big honor for us that we had to honor.

They have reached the high echelons and any team would fancy a chance to be part of the Simba Day,” he added.

The experienced administrator who also serves as the commandant of the National Police College, Main Campus, Kiganjo went ahead to disclose the tactical advice that he offered his team to secure a win over Simba.
“I told the coach to tell the fullbacks to be keen and wary of the offensive players from Simba as that is their strength. Once we had that covered, I was sure we would contain them because our center backs are very steady.”
