SIALKOT, Aug 16 (APP):A trade delegation from Sialkot has arrived in South Africa to explore new international markets for the city’s export-oriented industries and strengthen direct trade links with the South African business community, here on Sunday.

Chairman Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Departmental Committee on Fair and Exhibition Qaiser Baig, in a statement, said that in the prevailing global economic situation, exploring new markets for Pakistani products and expanding exports was the need of the hour.

He said trade delegations help establish direct contacts with foreign buyers, importers and business organizations, paving the way for new partnerships and contributing to growth in the country’s exports.

Qaiser Baig said the delegation represented major export sectors of Sialkot, including sports goods, leather, surgical instruments and other important industries.

The visit was aimed at strengthening trade ties with the South African business community, exploring markets for Sialkot-made products and identifying new export opportunities.

During the visit, delegation members will hold meetings with business leaders, importers and representatives of trade organizations.

The discussions will focus on promoting bilateral trade, developing joint ventures, exploring investment opportunities and increasing the presence of Sialkot products in the South African market, he added.

He said Sialkot’s industrialists and exporters had established a strong position in international markets through quality, innovation and hard work.

He stressed the need to further strengthen marketing and trade relations in traditional markets as well as in Africa and other emerging regions.
